I WANT YOU TO
FEEL STRONG.
Hi, I’m Anjola. I’m a Chicago based, Classically trained Pilates instructor and the founder of Wadara. I teach Pilates because I love what movement can unlock in us. Strength, confidence, and a better relationship with our bodies and minds.
Outside of the studio, I work in finance, am involved in my church, love really good food, and can usually be found in the center of any dance floor. Wellness is not my whole life and I don’t think it should be yours either.
The goal isnt perfection, it’s sustainability. Taking care of yourself shouldn’t take over your whole life, and I want to help you build a practice that enhances the beautiful life you already have.
THE WADARA PHILOSOPHY
WE ARE WELL
Wadara comes from the Yoruba phrase
a wa daradara, we are well.
I believe movement is an act of love, not punishment. When we move together, we care for more than just ourselves. You are your mother’s child, your friend’s friend, your sister’s sister. You are part of a community that is better when we take care of one another.
My teaching is rooted in Classical principals: control, precision, breath, and intentional movement. I give both progressions and modifications so that you can assess what is best for your body on any day. I want you to leave every session with me feeling challenged, capable, and more connected to your body than when you walked in.
Wherever you are in your journey, there’s room for you here.
